How God Used My Blog to Make a Vision Clear – I’m Taking Action!

Hello friends,

First of all, thank you for allowing me to serve you for the past couple years on this platform – although I would rather much have a face to face conversation with you (with a grande soy misto).

My journey on this blog has been wonderful. I have learned about strengths and opportunities, which can be very telling of someone’s character. I’ve been proud of some choices and not so proud of others I’ve made. Regardless, God is good!

BUT blogging has also been difficult. It gets very lonely on this side of the screen when you don’t hear from those that are part of your community – but I totally understand, so please know this is not meant directly at you. Actually, this is a reminder for me, from God, that I must rely on HIM at all times, even when I don’t feel heard. Have you ever felt unheard? As if what you have to say doesn’t matter to anyone, not even those closest to you? I understand you.

But most importantly, God understands you. Your Heavenly Father hears you – loud and clear! He loves you beyond measure. Don’t you ever forget that! Because when times get tough, you can bet on this fact – He is there always.

In the midst of this lonely journey, God has made things crystal clear. God is just awesome like that right? Let me back up a bit…

Months ago, I realized that when I minister to women, something happens in  the deepest part of my soul… it comes alive! When I see women’s lives transformed and the wonderful plans God has for their lives, it literally fills me up. It’s quite lovely.

Now, don’t get me wrong… I love families and I believe in healthy families, but you see, women are a crucial part in holding families together. We are loosing our femininity – we are struggling to find balance as daughters, wives, moms, professionals and ministers. We are torn. And as a result, our families are suffering.

This is where God is calling me to step in. I’m not going to lie – I’m a bit afraid. I now, move into that place of love (for those that understand this give me some grace).

I’m moving in!

What does this mean for some of you? Well, sorry to be the bearer of  bad news, but starting immediately, this will be an ALL women’s website. Sorry men! Remember, you can always stop by and say hello ok – don’t be strangers!

For those of you that are married or have girlfriends, please share my link with the women in your lives. I promise you, they will be blessed – and transformed, which will benefit you (LOL) and your family.

Ladies, I’m cheering for you. I’m here for you. I am honored to serve you and will continue to provide you with valuable information. Sharing my website or other social media is helpful in spreading the word about the website.

I am taking the month of July off  from blogging to get my head back in the game. In the meantime, won’t you give me some love by leave a comment or a goodbye note? I would like that very much. If you don’t, that’s okay too. Goodbyes can be hard. Men, after you leave me a comment, you can unsubscribe from this list… Or just send me an email letting me know and I can unsubscribe you.

The future is going to be great – for all of us – because God is with us!

Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.

#04 – 5 Step Formula to Improve Your Listening Skills

Today’s topic: 5 Step formula to improve your listening skills. If you are tuning in for the first time, welcome. I encourage you to listen in to podcast #3, Active listening, as that will give you a foundation for today’s podcast.

Listening is something we take for granted. Everyone knows how to hear, but not everyone knows how to truly listen! Distractions are a big factor that hinder us from listening to what others are saying.

Active or (reflective) listening is a way to respond to another person in a way the person feels they have been heard. It goes from superficial to deeper tuning to the other person’s feelings. Active listening is a skill, which means it can be learned, but it requires that we put energy to understand the person, which can be a bit intimidating for some of us.

Here’s what we cover:

  1. 7 Benefits to listening
  2. 2 Types of listening skills
  3. 5 Step formula to increase your listening skills

Here’s today’s tweetable:

You can click here to go to iTunes and subscribe to this Podcast. I would be absolutely grateful if you would rate my Podcast on iTunes. My desire is to make my podcast available to those that can benefit from this information. You can also leave me a comment on the website – – just scroll down to the comments section at bottom of the post.

Can’t wait till you join me next time!

Remember: Reframe your life trough God’s love!

4 Lessons from the life of Bathseba

  1. We are responsible for our actions, even when the winds of life come at us.
  2. Small decisions lead to a harvest of consequences (good or bad).
  3. God works all things for good, even in the most horrific of circumstances.
  4. Forgiveness is always available!

2 Samuel 11

It Positively Affects:

1) Your Brain: smiling activates neural messaging that benefits your health and happiness. It activates the release of neuropeptides that work toward fighting off stress.

2) Your Body: seeing an attractive smiling face activates the orbitofrontal cortex (the region that processes sensory rewards). When you see a person smiling, you actually feel rewarded – you feel good!

3) Others Around You: your smile is contagious. When you smile at someone, their feeling good chemicals are activated. This in turn creates a symbiotic relationship that allows both of you to release the feel good chemicals in your brain. The reward? You both feel good, more attractive, and live healthier lives.

Our Forever Celebration – Thanking our Lord

I’m still in awe of this weekend’s adoption celebration. I have had the time to sit and truly thank God for the miracle of our son – Jeremy. So, here’s to you Lord. Thank you! I am so overjoyed by what You do.

What’s most amazing to me is the fact that we were surrounded by so many people that love us. Some came from long distances just to celebrate this special day with us. Most were made up of church family and work friends. How wonderful that the Lord gave me such big and loving spiritual family – they are the ones that step up to be there for us – even more than blood family. I am forever grateful to you friends.

I made it a point to not take any pictures and just enjoy the party. So, I have limited pics for you. Our photographer will send the pics soon. Here’s my favorite pic, which we took at the photo booth.

It seems we Ponts like to be silly.

It seems we Ponts like to be silly.

What an amazing God we serve!

It is finished. Done. Jeremy is a Pont. He’s never been ours, but God’s. He brings so much joy and laughter that I can’t help but to share it with you.

The journey has been long. It has been difficult. We’ve shed many tears. There were days of feeling like giving up. But our God gave us strength. He led the way. He is faithful.

Thank you for allowing me to share this wonderful day with you.

What about you? What’s been a day of celebration for your family? What are you thankful for? Would love for you to leave me a comment here.
